Plas Yn Dre is a beautiful Grade II listed building, located in a prime position on Bala High Street. As well as luxurious, tastefully decorated rooms, Plas Yn Dre is also home to a popular family-run restaurant and bar.
All nine rooms have been recently renovated, but still retain original features such as vaulted ceilings and fireplaces. Choose from Classic, Superior or Executive rooms. Executive Rooms are the largest, and offer an additional bedroom.
All rooms boast quality mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets and quality oak furniture. Each is complete with fast WiFi, LED TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. Nespresso machines are available on request.
On the doorstep and nearby
The busy rural town of Bala sits on the banks of LLyn Tegid – the largest natural lake in Wales. Be sure to walk or cycle around the lake and soak up the views over the four mile stretch of water. Fly fishing courses, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing are also available.
The Bala Lake Railway is a nine mile journey through Snowdonia National Park, and is a great way to enjoy the stunning countryside views. A wealth of walking routes suitable for all abilities are also on the doorstep. The heritage trails of Town Trail, Betsi Cadwaladr Trail and the Mary Jones Trail, or the longer walks of the High Route and Tegid Way are all worth exploring.

It has to be the food. Experienced chefs use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, ever-changing dishes. After dinner, head to the Snug, Bar Lounge or cosy Library for a drink.

All ages welcome. Most rooms can accommodate an extra child's bed for a small fee. Well behaved dogs are welcome in some rooms for an additional charge.
