Harvington House is a lovely Victorian property within walking distance of Keswick's Market Square and the shores of Lake Derwentwater. Enjoy stunning views of Skiddaw, Blencathra and the Borrowdale Valley.
The house was built in 1881 from local Lakeland slate and today offers comfortable accommodation. Graham and Gina are welcoming, friendly hosts and always on hand to give advice on the local area. Graham worked as a tour leader and driver for the National Trust and he and Gina are both keen walkers and cyclists, so their local knowledge is second to none.
Breakfast is served in the sunny dining room and offers a full English, with vegetarian option, as well as a freshly-made fruit salad, cereal, fruit juices and Fairtrade tea and coffee.
Harvington House offers six rooms – three double en suite, one twin en suite and two singles, which share a bathroom.
All rooms are comfortable, decorated to a high standard and have a flat-screen TV, a hairdryer and Fairtrade tea/coffee making facilities. Some top floor rooms enjoy views of Walla Crag, Causey Pike or Cat Bells.
